This list of fictional dinosaurs is subsidiary to the list of fictional animals and is a collection of various notable non-avian dinosaur characters that appear in various works of fiction. It is limited to well-referenced examples of dinosaurs and related prehistoric reptiles in literature, film, television, comics, animation, video games and mythology, and applies only to non-avian dinosaur species that lived from the Triassic Period until the end of the Cretaceous.

Animal Jam is a television show produced by the Jim Henson Company in 2003. The show is a wild, music-driven, live-action dance show designed to be "interactive," and encourages viewers to get up and dance along with the characters. The show is hosted by Muppet characters Edi and Waffle.

Marvin the Tap-Dancing Horse (also known as Edouard et Martin for the French dub in Quebec) is a Canadian children's animated television series co-produced by Nelvana and Hong Guang Animation for Teletoon (now as "Cartoon Network") and PBS Kids. Among the series' executive producers are Michael Paraskevas and Betty Paraskevas, creators of Maggie and the Ferocious Beast,[2] who also created the book that the show is based on. It tells the stories of a young horse named Marvin who is part of a carnival.[3] Some episodes include original songs to help illustrate the theme or accompany montages that carry the story forward.

Winnie the Pooh is a media franchise produced by The Walt Disney Company, based on A. A. Milne and E. H. Shepard's stories featuring Winnie-the-Pooh.[1] It started in 1966 with the theatrical release of the short Winnie the Pooh and the Honey Tree.  The tone, action, and plot of the franchise is made much softer and slower than that of any other Disney animated film, in order to appeal to a more preschool-oriented audience.

The Grinch (also known as Dr. Seuss' The Grinch) is a 2018 American animated Christmas comedy film produced by Illumination and distributed by Universal Pictures. It is the third screen adaptation of Dr. Seuss' 1957 book How the Grinch Stole Christmas!, following the 1966 television special and the 2000 live-action feature-length film, and marks Illumination's second Dr. Seuss film adaptation, after The Lorax in 2012. The plot follows the Grinch and his pet dog Max who plan to stop Whoville's Christmas celebration by stealing all the town's decorations and gifts.

The Land Before Time is a 1988 animated adventure drama film directed and produced by Don Bluth from a screenplay by Stu Krieger and a story by Judy Freudberg and Tony Geiss, and executive produced by Steven Spielberg, George Lucas, Kathleen Kennedy, and Frank Marshall. The film stars the voices of Gabriel Damon, Candace Hutson, Judith Barsi and Will Ryan with narration provided by Pat Hingle. It is the first film in The Land Before Time franchise.

The Little Lulu Show is an animated series based on Marjorie Henderson Buell's comic book character Little Lulu.[1] The series first aired in 1995 and ended in 1999.  The series was produced by the CINAR Corporation, in association with Western Publishing Company, Inc./Golden Books Family Entertainment, alongside HBO, Beta Film and the CTV Television Network Ltd. for the first two seasons, with the participation of The Cable Production Fund (Season 2) and the Family Channel (Season 3). For the third season, TMO-Loonland Film co-produced the series with CINAR.

The Little Lulu Show

It's a Big Big World is an American children's television series that aired on PBS Kids from January 2, 2006, to January 8, 2010. The series was created by Mitchell Kriegman, the creator of the Muppet television series, Bear in the Big Blue House. After the series ended, reruns continued to air until April 30, 2010. The show revolves around a group of animals living in "The World Tree" in the rainforest along the Amazon River with the Pico da Neblina mountain background. The main character and host is Snook the sloth.  The series was taped at Wainscott Studios (now the LTV (Local TV, Inc.) studios) at the East Hampton Airport industrial complex in Wainscott, New York. Wainscott Studios is the only studio to use Shadowmation, a technique created by Mitchell Kriegman, to bring the puppets to life by combining live-action animatronic characters with computer generated animation in real time, high definition virtual environments powered by video game engines.

The Jungle Book is a 1967 American animated musical comedy film produced by Walt Disney Productions and released by Buena Vista Distribution. Based very loosely on Rudyard Kipling's 1894 book of the same title, it is the final animated feature film to be produced by Walt Disney, who died during its production. It was directed by Wolfgang Reitherman and written by Larry Clemmons, Ralph Wright, Ken Anderson, and Vance Gerry. Featuring the voices of Phil Harris, Sebastian Cabot, Louis Prima, George Sanders, Sterling Holloway, J. Pat O'Malley, and Bruce Reitherman, the film's plot follows Mowgli, a feral child raised in the Indian jungle by wolves, as his friends, Bagheera the panther and Baloo the bear, try to convince him to leave the jungle before the ruthless tiger Shere Khan arrives.  The early versions of both the screenplay and the soundtrack followed Kipling's work more closely, with a dramatic, dark, and sinister tone, which Disney did not want in his family film, leading to writer Bill Peet and songwriter Terry Gilkyson being replaced.  The Jungle Book was released on October 18, 1967, to positive reception, with acclaim for its soundtrack, featuring five songs by the Sherman Brothers and one by Gilkyson, "The Bare Necessities". With a gross of $23.8 million worldwide, the film initially became Disney's second-highest-grossing animated film in the United States and Canada,[3] the ninth-highest-grossing film of 1967, and was also successful during its re-releases. The film was also successful throughout the world, becoming Germany's highest-grossing film by number of admissions.[4] Disney released a live-action adaptation in 1994 and an animated sequel, The Jungle Book 2, in 2003; a live-action/CGI hybrid remake directed by Jon Favreau was released in 2016, with a sequel to that film in development.

Peanuts is a syndicated daily and Sunday American comic strip written and illustrated by Charles M. Schulz. The strip's original run extended from 1950 to 2000, continuing in reruns afterward. Peanuts is among the most popular and influential in the history of comic strips, with 17,897 strips published in all,[1] making it "arguably the longest story ever told by one human being" and is considered to be the grandfather of slice of life cartoons.[2][3] At the time of Schulz's death in 2000, Peanuts ran in over 2,600 newspapers, with a readership of around 355 million in 75 countries, and was translated into 21 languages.[4] It helped to cement the four-panel gag strip as the standard in the United States,[5] and together with its merchandise earned Schulz more than $1 billion.[1]  Peanuts focuses on a social circle of young children, where adults exist but are rarely seen or heard. The main character, Charlie Brown, is meek, nervous, and lacks self-confidence. He is unable to fly a kite, win a baseball game, or kick a football held by his irascible friend Lucy, who always pulls it away at the last instant.[6] Peanuts is a literate strip with philosophical, psychological, and sociological overtones, which was innovative in the 1950s.[7] Its humor is psychologically complex and driven by the characters' interactions and relationships. The comic strip has been adapted in animation and theater.  Schulz drew the strip for nearly 50 years, with no assistants, even in the lettering and coloring process.[8]
