The Backyardigans is an animated musical children's television series created by Janice Burgess. The series was written and recorded at Nickelodeon Animation Studio. It centers on five anthropomorphic animal neighbors who imagine themselves on fantastic adventures in their backyard. Each episode is set to a different musical genre and features four songs, composed by Evan Lurie with lyrics by McPaul Smith. The Backyardigans' adventures span many different genres and settings. The show's writers took inspiration from action-adventure films, and many episodes are parodies of films.

Beginning with the release of an eponymous video game in 1984, Barbie, a fashion doll manufactured by American toy and entertainment company Mattel and debuted on March 9, 1959, has been featured in a media franchise predominantly consisting of a film series and media formats across technologies like television and the Internet. Since then, it has become one of the highest-grossing media franchises of all time and has been referred to among fans as the "Barbie Cinematic Universe". The film series were released direct-to-video from 2001 and aired regularly on Nickelodeon as television specials in the United States from 2002, with both running until early 2017. Since mid-2017, beginning with Barbie Dolphin Magic, Mattel revamped them into streaming television films, branded or marketed them as animated "specials" with a reduced 1-hour video length as opposed to the feature films beforehand and move them to streaming media services, predominantly Netflix, but also including Amazon Prime Video, Google Play and Apple TV+. These films released from late 2017 onwards could still be released on home video formats, although locally, or get picked up for television broadcast in multiple countries and regions/territories. Aside the film series, Barbie has been featured in other media formats, including two animated direct-to-video specials in Barbie and the Rockers: Out of This World and its sequel, Barbie and the Sensations: Rockin' Back to Earth, both in 1987, web series like Barbie: Life in the Dreamhouse, Barbie: Vlogger, Barbie Dreamtopia, Barbie's Dreamworld and Barbie: Life in the City, television shows like Barbie Dreamhouse Adventures, Barbie: It Takes Two and Barbie: A Touch of Magic, a live-action film and an interactive short film.

Dora the Explorer is an American children's animated television series in the Dora the Explorer franchise, created by Chris Gifford, Valerie Walsh Valdes, and Eric Weiner that premiered on Nickelodeon on August 14, 2000, and ended on August 9, 2019. The series was produced by Nickelodeon Animation Studio.

"Dora the Explorer" features the adventures of young Dora, her monkey Boots, Backpack and other animated friends. In each episode, viewers join Dora on an adventure in an animated world set inside a computer. The titular character seeks viewers' help in solving a puzzle or mystery she faces in each episode.

The Lion Guard is an American animated children's television series developed by Ford Riley and based on Disney's 1994 film The Lion King. The series was first broadcast with a television film titled The Lion Guard: Return of the Roar on Disney Channel on November 22, 2015, and began airing as a TV series on January 15, 2016, on Disney Junior. It is the second television series based on The Lion King following The Lion King's Timon & Pumbaa (1995–1999). The first two seasons take place within the time-gap in the 1998 film The Lion King II: Simba's Pride. The majority of the third and final season takes place in parallel with the film's second act, with the final two episodes serving as an epilogue to the film.
The second season premiered on July 7, 2017, followed by the third on August 3, 2019, with the series finale airing on November 3 the same year.
The Lion Guard is a group that serves to protect the circle of life, traditionally led by the second born of the King and Queen. Simba and Nala's son Kion finds himself taking up the title last held and tainted by his evil great-uncle Scar.
Despite the tradition that the Lion Guard has always been made of lions, Kion appoints his friends Bunga the honey badger, Beshte the hippopotamus, Fuli the cheetah, and Ono the egret, and together, they set out to keep their homeland safe and protect it from animals who disrespect the Circle of Life. As leader of the Lion Guard Kion is bestowed the Roar of the Elders, a powerful and devastating roar that can be corrupted when used in anger, and lost when used purposefully for evil.
At the start of Season 2, the Lion Guard's mission becomes harder when Kion's evil deceased great uncle Scar returns as a fiery spirit and plans to destroy the Pride Lands. Scar forms an army consisted of animals from the Outlands. This eventually leads to an all-out battle between the Pridelanders and the Outlanders.
By Season 3, the guard, now adolescents, successfully defeat Scar. Afterwards, they leave the Pride Lands to locate the Tree of Life in Asia to cure Kion and Ono's battle injuries, Kion having received a venomous scar from Ushari the cobra and Ono losing his eyesight from the poisonous volcanic fumes while rescuing Bunga. Kion's team also gets a new member, a martial eagle named Anga who replaces Ono's position as the keenest of sight after Ono temporarily loses his eyesight, while the latter gains a new position as the smartest.
Once reaching the Tree of Life, the Lion Guard assists in defending the haven from intruders together with the Night Pride, the group and family who protects the Tree of Life. After Kion and Ono are healed and their enemies are defeated, hyenas Jasiri and Janja (the latter having reformed during the final confrontation with Scar) come looking for them and alert them that Zira and her pride are back.
The Lion Guard returns to the Pride Lands, only to find out that the conflict has already been settled. Zira's daughter, Vitani, has formed her own Lion Guard in their absence, causing an argument between them and Kion's Lion Guard. However, after seeing Vitani's confidence in becoming a leader even without the Roar, Kion allows Vitani's Lion Guard to succeed his Guard as defenders of the Pride Lands. Kion and his friends return to the Tree of Life where Kion marries the Night Pride's leader, Queen Rani, and is crowned king of the Tree of Life.

The Lion Guard

Lilo & Stitch or Stitch (marketed as Disney Stitch) is an American media franchise created by Disney. The first installment was written and directed by Chris Sanders and Dean DeBlois, and released in 2002. The combined critical and commercial success of the original film, which was a rarity for the company's feature animation studio during the studio's post-Renaissance downturn in the early 2000s, led to three direct-to-video and television sequel feature films, a short film, three animated television series, a live-action/CGI feature film adaptation, several video games, theme park attractions, comics, literature, and various merchandise. As of 2024, the franchise became one of Disney's top ten best-selling franchises, with retail sales reaching $2.6 billion and overall revenue (including the box offices of the two theatrical films) reaching over $3.2 billion, making it one of the highest-grossing media franchises.

The franchise, primarily the original 2002–2006 animated continuity, mainly focuses on the adventures of the titular eccentric and mischievous duo: an orphaned Hawaiian girl named Lilo Pelekai and an artificial extraterrestrial creature originally named Experiment 626, whom she adopts and names Stitch. Stitch was created via genetic engineering by alien mad scientist Dr. Jumba Jookiba to cause chaos and destruction across the galaxy but was rehabilitated by Lilo thanks to ʻohana, the Hawaiian concept of extended family. The duo's ʻohana mainly consist of themselves; Lilo's older sister and legal guardian, Nani Pelekai; Jumba; and Jumba's Earth-loving partner, Agent Wendy Pleakley. Most of the sequel and spin-off material of the franchise also involves many genetic experiments similar to Stitch, whom he treats as his "cousins", Captain Gantu, a giant militaristic alien from the original film who becomes an antagonist to the main ʻohana in later works, and Dr. Jacques von Hämsterviel, Jumba's diminutive former partner-in-crime who desires the experiments he funded the creation of to use them for intergalactic domination. Additionally, the franchise's films and first television series make frequent references to American musician Elvis Presley (of whom Sanders himself is an avid fan), using his music and sometimes his likeness in the films.

The later spin-off material released from 2008 through 2020—the Japanese anime Stitch!, the Chinese animated series Stitch & Ai, and the Japanese manga Stitch & the Samurai—emphasize Stitch by separating him from Lilo and putting him into other regions of Earth (primarily in the countries where these works are produced), replacing her with different humans who take him, along with Jumba and Pleakley, in with their families. The original Japanese version of the anime was produced by an entirely different crew from the original franchise, while the Chinese series was partially produced by American animators; crew members from Lilo & Stitch: The Series worked on both shows, although the anime only involved them in the international edit (which includes the English dub). The two Asian series replace the original voice cast of the four films and the first TV series. Later spin-offs beginning from 2022, including the children's detective book series Agent Stitch and a Lilo & Stitch comic book series that began in 2024, resumed Lilo's involvement as a main character and Stitch's best friend but continued the post-Leroy trend of the alien and his extended family going on adventures in places outside Hawaii. Both of them also serve as continuations after only the original film rather than continuations after Leroy & Stitch.

A live-action and computer-animated adaptation of the original film was released in 2025, with Sanders reprising his voice role as Stitch.

Lilo & Stitch

Go, Diego, Go! is an American children's animated television series that aired on Nickelodeon from September 6, 2005 to September 16, 2011, with 80 episodes across five seasons. Created and executive produced by Chris Gifford and Valerie Walsh Valdes, the series is a spin-off of the animated television series Dora the Explorer and follows Dora's cousin Diego, an 8-year-old boy whose adventures often involve rescuing animals and protecting the environment. The series also aired in reruns on Nick Jr. on CBS from September 17, 2005 to September 9, 2006.

Go, Diego, Go!

Bubble Guppies is an animated children's fantasy television series created by Jonny Belt and Robert Scull and developed by Belt, Scull, and Janice Burgess for Nickelodeon. The series is a combination of the sketch comedy, edutainment, and musical genres, and revolves around the underwater adventures of a group of merperson preschoolers named Molly, Gil, Goby, Deema, Oona, Nonny, and new student Zooli. The program premiered on Nickelodeon on January 24, 2011, and ran for six seasons until June 30, 2023. The series is produced using 3D software. The series originally ended on October 21, 2016. Almost three years after the last episode of its original run, it was revived for a fifth season on June 4, 2019 with an order of 26 episodes. The fifth season premiered on September 27, 2019. On February 19, 2020, the show was renewed for a sixth and final season, which premiered on October 19, 2021.

Seasons 1–4 format

The episode starts with the show logo in a room and it is filling with water. Then the Little Fish breaks the fourth wall by saying the title of the show to the audience. The series starts with an introduction by Molly, saying 'Hi, it's me, Molly, and it's time for—' only to be stopped by Gil performing an act related to the episode's subject. One or both of the two then state 'It's time for Bubble Guppies!', and the theme song plays. After the theme song, the Little Fish say the episode's name.
An event may occur when one or more characters is on the way to school. For example, Avi breaks his tail in "Call a Clambulance!" when Oona is on the way to school. A guppy tells Mr. Grouper about the earlier experience. He suggests, "Let's think about it", and the characters discuss the theme. A pop song follows, focusing on the episode's main theme. Usually, Molly or Gil sing this song, but there are episodes where Deema or Mr. Grouper sing it instead.
One of the guppies may go to a shop that mostly focuses on the theme (example: a doctor's office in "Call a Clambulance!"). The owner of the shop (usually played by Deema) will ask questions about what they need. Jokes and silly responses will eventually lead to the correct necessity. Mr. Grouper often ends this segment by asking, "Excuse me, what time is it?" in a call and response pattern, with the guppies responding, "It's time for lunch!" three times.
At lunch, three of the characters make a food pun about the subject of the episode; usually done by Nonny. After lunch, another Gil and Molly sketch is shown.
After the sketch, some classroom activity is shown further reinforcing that episode's topic, or Mr. Grouper talks more about the theme. This is usually ended when Mr. Grouper says, "Line up everybody, it's time to go outside!" followed by the "outside song". Outside the classroom, the guppies act out a story about the theme, interfused with Adobe Flash-animated graphics. Once back inside, a dance song is typically performed. In Season 1, the dance song occurred before the story segment, and both were preceded by a second "Let's think about it" segment. After all that, Gil and Molly do another sketch.
The guppies may either go on a field trip (before which they yell out "FIELD TRIP!") or do a special activity that focuses on the theme. This may focus on a problem shown earlier and involves the key characters. The episode concludes with a final sketch by Gil and Molly, followed by a shorter version of the theme song. The credits then roll which include a song played earlier in that episode.

Seasons 5–6 format

Season 5 introduced a new series format which keeps the initial format, but this time has the story segment take up the majority of the episode, and incorporates the shop and lunch segments into the narrative (basically with the new structure, the store and meal parts are now integrated into the story and the story section takes up the bulk of the show). Gil and Molly simply introduce themselves before the theme song with no opening gag. The show cuts right to school after the theme, and the dance songs and field trips were removed. With the exception of select special episodes, Mr. Grouper's overall presence in the show was primarily reduced to the beginning class segments. Gil and Molly's sketches were removed as well, instead having Mr. Grouper wave goodbye to the viewer as the guppies go back inside.
Two-level humor track
A significant contribution to the show's popularity is its two-level humor track. Minor characters include a police officer named Miranda and a winged serpent named Pretzel-coatl. Heavy metal singer Ozzy Osbourne guest starred as Sid Fishy in the 2015 episode "Super Guppies!",[6] while actor George Takei guest starred in a sci-fi mashup which pitted him as a Darth Vader-like armored villain against starship captain Gil and his first officer, Mr. Smart (Nonny). Recurring character Mr. Grumpfish is a reference to Monty Python's The Meaning of Life, while the episode "The Puppy and the Ring" makes in-jokes ranging from J. R. R. Tolkien to L. Frank Baum.

Bubble Guppies

Winx Club is an animated fantasy series created by Iginio Straffi. It is co-produced by Rainbow, RAI, and Nickelodeon. The series has also spawned three feature-length movies and multiple spin-offs, including a live-action adaptation aimed at young adults.

In 2010, Winx Club was revamped when Nickelodeon began co-developing new seasons of the series. Nickelodeon's parent company, Viacom, became a co-owner of Rainbow the following year. Straffi has continued to work with Nickelodeon on both Winx Club and new shows. Almost a decade after their collaboration started, Straffi commented in a 2019 interview: "the know-how of Rainbow and the know-how of Nickelodeon are very complementary."

The pilot episode for Winx Club was finished in 2001, originally called Magic Bloom. The first sketches for the pilot were drawn by Iginio Straffi himself in 1999. When the pilot episode was screened for test audiences, Straffi found that they did not like its medieval-inspired look. He asked for help from fashion designers to redesign the characters.

In this first draft of Winx Club, the girls were to be younger. Bloom, Stella, and Tecna's appearances were kept relatively unchanged, but Flora's and Musa's appearances were much different. Flora originally had lilac hair and glasses, while Musa had green hair and elf ears. All of the characters' fairy forms were different as well.

After the first season began production, the series' name was changed to Winx: Just Fairies in 2002, and then to Winx Club in 2003. Straffi based the title on the English word "wings".

Winx Club was created by the Italian comic book artist Iginio Straffi. The show's animation studio, Rainbow, was founded by Straffi. In 2011, the American company Viacom became a co-owner of Rainbow. Viacom is also the owner of Nickelodeon, which co-developed the specials, and seasons 5, 6, and 7 of the show.

Winx Club

Shimmer and Shine is an American animated television series created by Farnaz Esnaashari-Charmatz and produced by Nickelodeon Animation Studio. It premiered on Nickelodeon's Nick Jr. block on August 24, 2015, and ended on February 9, 2020, running for four seasons and 86 episodes. The show is about twin genies, Shimmer and Shine, who grant wishes for their human friend Leah. On March 18, 2018, new episodes moved to the separate Nick Jr. Channel. The first season is set in the human world and focuses on a young girl named Leah who is friends with twin genie sisters named Shimmer and Shine. Each day, the genies grant Leah three wishes, but they often make mistakes. Each episode features Leah working together with the genies to resolve the problems they unintentionally cause, all while keeping Shimmer and Shine a secret from her next door neighbor and best friend Zac.
In the second season, the characters are transported to Zahramay Falls, a magical land where Shimmer and Shine live. Leah reveals her genies' existence to Zac, who is given a genie of his own, named Kaz. Shimmer and Shine continue to grant Leah wishes in Zahramay Falls and befriend the sovereign of the land, Princess Samira. The season includes Samira's pet peacock, Roya and Leah's pet fox, Parisa. Also, Zeta, a villainous sorceress, and finally, Zeta's dragon, Nazboo.

Shimmer and Shine

Team Umizoomi is an American live-action and animated musical preschool children's television series created by Soo Kim, Michael T. Smith, and Jennifer Twomey, and developed by Teri Weiss for Nickelodeon and the Nick Jr. Channel. Twomey and Kim additionally serve as executive producers, and Kim also serves as a producer with Smith and Marcy Pritchard. The series places an emphasis on mathematical concepts, such as counting, sequences, shapes, patterns, measurements, and equalities. Team Umizoomi premiered on January 25, 2010, with "The Kite Festival" and "The Aquarium Fix-It", and ended on April 24, 2015, with "Umi Rescue Copter". Four seasons with a total of 77 episodes were made.

The series follows the adventures of the titular Team Umizoomi, a trio of tiny superheroes who use mathematics to solve whatever problems occur in and around their home of UmiCity in every episode.
The series utilizes a combination of live actors and props with animated characters, vehicles and environments.

Young viewers and parents familiar with Dora, Diego and the rest of the "Dora the Explorer" gang have new characters to learn about, as Dora heads to school in the city of Playa Verde. She works alongside her friends to give back to the community, while going on a variety of adventures. Her pals include artistic Kate, intelligent Naiya, musical Emma, athletic Alana and playful Pablo. Also helping Dora solve mysteries is new technology; rather than relying on a paper map, she now navigates the city using a map app on her smartphone, and overcomes obstacles with the aid of a magical charm bracelet.

Dora and Friends: Into the City!

Dora’s Explorer Girls: Our First Concert is a television special featuring the now 10-year-old Dora and her Explorer Girls. It was premiered on August 7, 2011 and was released on DVD on May 15, 2012.

Dora is growing up as a preteen. She's so excited to see a concert with her new friends Alana, Emma, Naiya, and Kate. But everything grounds to a halt. Alana said she had the 5 tickets in an envelope with the first letter for each name. But she accidently donates her blue soccer jacket with 5 tickets in the envelope by mistake. Can the group retrieve their tickets before it's too late?

Dora's living in the big city now, and she and her friends are going to their first concert: Shakira. But when their tickets go missing, the girls need your help to search around the city and find all five tickets.

The Explorer Girls are a group of five girls who help out in the city of Puerto Verde (later renamed Playa Verde) every day. The team is lead by Dora, the members of the group are Kate, Emma, Naiya, and Alana. The Explorer Girls help out in the city, solve mysteries, and help out each other daily. But they can't do things on their own; they also will need the viewer's help. They always find a way to make things better.
