All that is known from Cardan's early biography is that he worked on "Product No. 62". The research was completed in 2004, thanks to them it was possible to find a compact and sufficiently strong power source for the Gauss cannon. After the formation of the Zone, he began to study it with two other comrades — the Barge and the Joker. After drinking together and a subsequent quarrel, their paths parted and Cardan settled on board the dry cargo ship Skadovsk, where he repairs and upgrades weapons and armor for money. After a quarrel with friends, Cardan got drunk, and the number of possible improvements depends on the number of bottles of vodka drunk and the availability of tools.
