Vinnie The Gooch is one of the Color Commentators on Backyard Baseball. He was the first color commentator in the Backyard Sports series, making his first appearance in Backyard Baseball (1997). He eats a corndog during the games while he assists Sunny Day with commentary. Vinnie the Gooch is known for his deadpan one-liners. He is quick with a quip whenever a batter strikes out, or when the fielders are not playing well. He is rather mellow compared to his partner Sunny Day. When a batter comes up to bat, Vinnie gives the player their nickname and some background information. He is the family relative to Angela Delvecchio and Tony Delvecchio.
