Emmy is playful and happy, and loves her younger brother Max. However, they occasionally have arguments with each other. She's also known for saying "Definitely!" whenever a good idea arises. For some reasons, she is also known by being impulsive and bossy at times, wanting things being done her way. She also knows some Spanish, but she's not very fluent in it like Quetzal and Enrique are (although she does know a few more words in Spanish than Max does), so she doesn't speak it way too well.

In seasons 2 and 3, the Junior Beat who represents Marina is a young white girl with red hair. This Junior Beat looks more similar to Marina then the one in season 1. Like her, she wears the color turquoise. She wears a turquoise sleeveless dress with a purple shirt underneath. She wears a purple belt and purple leggings. Her hair is styled just like Marina's.

Ponyo is an extrovert, tending to go outside when her father is distracted doing his magic. She also pleased when Sosuke finds her while he is playing by the sea by his house and frees her from a jar. Again, she pays him by licking his scar, and they bond and become friends. Ponyo does not like her father at first, which is why she runs away from home at the beginning of the film, and she is also rambunctious, causing trouble around the house after Sosuke adopts her. Soon, she withdraws magic and decides to live by Sosuke's side as a part of his family. She is a fish at first but becomes more humanlike when Sosuke self-injures his finger and she licks his scar, healing him. Her favorite food is ham.
