Description

Doris is a female talking elderly Door that resembles a grandma with a Brooklyn accent from HBO's Preschool TV series called "A Little Curious", She is the oldest character out of the main characters, She is voiced by Marilyn Pasekoff. Her catchphrases are "Oy! My aching hinges!". She also likes to tell knock knock jokes. She can also open herself up to flashbacks, or any place like a imagination portal. It is also shown that Doris has a personal house, or could possibly be a door to a house. Doris reminisces about her past quite often. She grew up on a doorstep in Brooklyn, hence her accent. More specifically, on Flatbush Avenue, which is an actual place/road in real life. She went to "The School of Hard Knocks" where she learned all kinds of things about doors, and enjoyed sitting at a counter and drinking mint cream drinks. When she got older, she met Irving the Awning on the same road, and the two automatically fell in love with each other, becoming husband and wife. The two did everything together on the door stoops they were located on. However, Irving wanted to move to Miami due to the cold making him feel old, but after some talking by Doris he stayed. One day, for unspecified reasons, Irving was broken, and therefore declared dead. Doris still remembers him very fondly.
