Description

Rapper Christopher Charles Lloyd is better known by his stage name, Lloyd Banks. Joining childhood friends 50 Cent and Tony Yayo to create the East Coast hip hop group G-Unit in 1999, he started his career as a member of the group. The next year, Banks released his first solo album, The Hunger for More (2004), following the publication of their debut album, Beg for Mercy (2003). It was favorably received by critics and fans alike, reaching the top of the Billboard 200 and giving rise to the top ten single "On Fire" on the Billboard Hot 100 and the top 20 single "Karma" (with Avant or Kevin Cossom). Rotten Apple (2006), his second album, received mixed reviews and reached at number three on the Billboard 200.
