Description

Torrente is a first/third person action shooter video game developed by Virtual Toys and published by O~3 Entertainment, originally released in June 2001. Being based on the first two movies of the highly successful Spanish franchise of the same name, it focuses on the exploits of José Luis Torrente, a corrupt, racist and drunk former cop who wants to get back his job in the police force. He gets involved in a violent conflict between drug cartels and the Mafia in Madrid and Marbella, where he has to shoot his way through street thugs and hitmen. Along the way, he meets various eccentric characters and faces many dangerous situations, like engaging in violent shootouts, or escorting VIPs, in his quest to bring justice back to the city.
