Dr. Ramata Sissoko Cisse holds a DVM from Kazakh State Agrarian University, Almaty in Kazakhstan, a Master’s degree in neurobiology from Georgia State University in Atlanta, and a Ph.D. in poultry science from the University of Georgia in Athens, Georgia. Her graduate research was on the effect of nutrition on the reproductive performance of broiler breeders and the utilization of alternative feed ingredients in poultry diets. She was a postdoctoral fellow at the United States Department of Agriculture at the Southeast Poultry Research Laboratory where she conducted research in the encapsulation of Newcastle Disease virus to improve vaccination success rates in rural areas.
