Description
Hironobu Kageyama (born February 18, 1961) is a Japanese singer, composer, arranger, and singer-songwriter. He is a member of HIGHWAY STAR. He graduated from Osaka Municipal Minamitanabe Elementary School, Osaka Municipal Tanabe Junior High School, and Meiji University Nakano High School (transferred from Osaka Prefectural Yamatogawa High School (now Osaka Prefectural Education Center High School)). His parents own a barber shop. At the age of 16, he formed the band Lazy with his elementary and junior high school classmates Akira Takasaki and others (vocals). He appeared on Asahi Broadcasting's "Hello Young" and was recognized by the host Hiroshi Kamayatsu, so the whole band moved to Tokyo and made their professional debut in 1977 as the Japanese Bay City Rollers (at the time, they performed under their real name, Hironobu Kageyama, and were nicknamed Michelle). They released the hit song "Red Riding Hood-chan Goyoujin", but disbanded in May 1981. In October of the same year, he made his solo debut under his current stage name from Tokuma Music Industries.
