Anna Hottenmeyer (アンナ・ホッテンマイヤー) is a major character in the Mr. Driller series. She is one of the very few female characters in the series, and has a friendly rivalry and secret crush with series protagonist Susumu Hori, who she later married in 2008. She was 15 at the time of the Mr. Driller series. They have a daughter named Neveah and a son named Osamu. She joined Whitney's squad in August 2018. She is a Tank in Aikatsu. She was born on December 24, 1986 (1999 in anime) Germany. She is 38 (25 in anime). She is voiced by Mitsuko Horie, also providing voices for Susumu Hori and Puchi. She is voiced by Bianca Allen in English. In the UK dub, she is voiced by Lizzie Waterworth, who provides the voice of Uniqua from Backyardigans and Maggie from Maggie and the Ferocious Beast. Anna is very stubborn in Aikatsu. She is an only child. She may be strong-willed and puts on a tough act on the outside, but deep down, she's still just a little girl. Anna came from an Elite Driller School from Germany, and she is a current resident in an apartment in Tokyo with Holinger-Z. She's the second best driller in the world, with Susumu being number one. She's a strong-willed tomboy and dislikes doing girly stuff (such as wearing a dress), to the point of constantly being mistaken for a boy, by both the players and the main character himself. Anna decided to become a driller after hearing of her parents' death in a cave-in accident when she was still a child. Although she was traumatized by their death, Anna was always taught by her father on how to be strong and put on a brave face. Anna's name is a pun on the Japanese phrase Ana o hotte (穴を掘って), which means "digging a hole" Axel Jimenez used to have a small crush on her, but she was never aware of this and always had feelings for Susumu. She and Axel, however, have respect for each other, despite being enemies Anna's gameplay style is similar to that of Susumu's, except with a small boost to her top speed and a slightly higher air-consumption rate. She has the third-highest top speed of all the drillers, with only Ataru Hori and Keel Sark surpassing it.
