Description

Puchi (プチ) is Susumu Hori's talking dog companion and sidekick. He made his first appearance in Mr. Driller 2, as seen in the intro cutscene and credits, and then became a playable character in Mr. Driller G. And he began joining WhitneyGoLucky in August 2018. And.... He is probably dead by now, since he was born in probably 1995 or 1996 or 1997 (probably 2008 or 2009 or 2010 in anime years). He is voiced by actress Mitsuko Horie, also providing voices for Anna Hottenmeyer and Susumu Hori. In the UK dub, Puchi is voiced by Nicky Smedley, the voice provider of Laa-Laa fro Teletubbies. Puchi was abandoned as a little puppy, and Susumu rescued him, and cared for him. Since then, he has lived in Edowaga, Tokyo with Susumu and has been Susumu's closest confidant. Puchi is either a Pembroke Welsh Corgi or Jack Russel Terrier, but no one knows what breed he is. At the end of his sentences, he says "woof" (wan in Japanese) for barking. He is inspired by Martha from the 2008 PBS Kids Show Martha Speaks.
