Eguri Hatakeyama (ハタケヤマ・エグリ) (Born April 1, 1989) is a minor character in the Mr. Driller series, and has only appeared in 2 games, Mr. Driller G and Drill Land. She's a member of the Ankoku Drillers, including Keel Sark and Kowars. She is the middle daughter of Albatross Hatakeyama and Leila Blitz, and the sister of Avalon Hatakeyama and Cecelia Blitz. She is also a member of Correcto, Inc. before the Waxworker declared the company in bankruptcy. She declares herself the rival of Anna Hottenmeyer and has a crush on Ataru Hori. She has a bird as her companion. She is voiced by Ai Maeda. Her UK voice provider is Khloe Fry, also providing the voice of Daffine Toilette from Pinky Dinky Doo. She wishes to be called "Tiara" (ティアラ) instead. But in the anime, she wishes to be called "Princess" (姫). Eguri is mean and also selfish, as when she stalks Ataru. She is also very rude, much more rude than Anna. When she loses or doesn't get what she wants, she will shriek very loudly. Eguri is very mean, bad-tempered, and extremely annoying, but later good. She is very bratty, and never has anything go her way. She also has a crush on Ataru Hori, now an A.C.M.E. secret agent. Before being a secret agent, is selfish and very rude, more rude than Anna Hottenmeyer, whom she has a strong rivalry with because she feels inferior to her due to Anna's status. She is most likely the least favorite daughter in her family. Unlike the other human drillers in the series, Eguri wields and swings a whip to destroy blocks. It has double the reach of the drilling equipment of the other characters, allowing her to dig two blocks at once, drill blocks on the other side of an X-block, and drill horizontally from a safe distance. However, she has noticeable movement lag upon landing, and she shares Anna's increased air consumption rate without the speed boost Anna has over other characters, making her as fast as Susumu. Eguri was born on April Fool's Day. Eguri's first name in Japanese means "Gouge". Whitney Larson gave her a fanmade English Dub Voice. She will be voiced by Alex Cazares (Like she did Carlino Casagrande) for Mr. Driller Jetters Fanmade English Dub. She hates Dokin Chan because of how disrespectful she was and because Dokin Chan was copying her style. She also hates Currypanman as well. Eguri Hatakeyama's scream originally come from the Series 4000 Hollywood Sound Effects Library by Sound Ideas. Her parents joined the Rolling Thunder Incident in 1986. On her 10th Birthday, her parents got her an unnamed pet bird, which she later named Tiara.
