Tracy Beaker is the daughter of Carly Beaker and the adoptive daughter of Cam Lawson. She is the mother of Jess Beaker. She was a care worker at Elmtree House II, as well as a former resident of Stowey House and Elmtree House I. She is currently the manageress of The Dumping Ground. She is also the girlfriend of Peter Ingham. Previously, she was an ill-tempered girl with behavioural problems living in care as her biological mother, Carly, gave birth to her when she was just a teenager and couldn't look after her. Alongside this, Carly's boyfriend was abusive towards Tracy, and was subsequently taken into care at Stowey House, and later Elmtree House. Three books, alongside a television series chronicle Tracy's early life in care. Four years later, Tracy returns to Elmtree House as a care worker herself in Tracy Beaker Returns, using her unique knowledge of the care system to assist the children living in care. Tracy was adopted by Cam at the conclusion of the previous series and has been residing with Cam ever since. Tracy's previous care worker from The Story of Tracy Beaker - Mike, returns as the head care worker and Tracy's new boss. Not too long after, Tracy broke up with Seth, dated Si, had Jess; broke up with Si, got engaged to Sean and then broke up with Sean. After the break up, Tracy moved to Cooksea with her daughter, Jess.
