Description
The AK-47 (also known as the Kalashnikov, or simply as the AK) is a selective-fire, gas-operated 7.62Γ39mm assault rifle. It was developed in the Soviet Union by Mikhail Kalashnikov, after whom the rifle is named. It is officially known in Soviet documentation as the 'Avtomat Kalashnikova (Russian:ΠΠ²ΡΠΎΠΌΠ°Ρ ΠΠ°Π»Π°ΡΠ½ΠΈΠΊΠΎΠ²Π°, or Automatic Kalashnikov). It is the originating firearm of the Kalashnikov rifle family
