In one episode, his coat had to be dry-cleaned and he became insane. Even when the other Off-Beats offered him other coats, Tommy felt so uncomfortable wearing them, that he preferred walking shirtless, even when it was cold outside. In another episode, he bet his coat in a poker game but lost. He couldn't control his emotions which made him yell, scaring everybody off until he had won his beloved coat back.

Miss Mush is an older woman with an elliptical head with green hair tied back in a bun, a chef hat, and a large, round nose. She has two eyes with visible eyelashes, and a mouth, with visible wrinkles and a visible chin. She wears a large eggplant-colored coat with a white collar and white cuffs around her hands, alongside a white apron with a pouch on the front. She wears brown shoes with pointed toes. Her cartoon appearance largely matches her description in the books, though her fingernails and toenails are not seen, due to the show's art style, Miss Mush is revealed not to be entirely brilliant in "Honors Class," where it is revealed she teaches an honors class on the twenty-ninth story. Whenever Maurecia tries to stupid her way out of smart class, Miss Mush mistakens it for untold brilliance, and by the end of the episode, is so satisfied with her spelling of the word "potato," that she sends her to double honors class, which is revealed to just be Mrs. Jewls's classroom. However, Miss Mush still often has a better grip of reality than Mr. Kidswatter, as shown in "Joe n' Fro," where she questions if he knows what a gazebo is when he gets overly excited about adding one to the schoolyard. Miss Mush's sole companion is Sammy, who rarely does anything because he's dead. Miss Mush is shown to care for Sammy a lot, going on a quest to find the Golden Bowl of Mamaland in "The Rat Truth" when he falls sick, In his two appearances, Le Chef is shown to be a rival of Miss Mush, contrasting his brilliant cooking and uptight personality with Miss Mush's disgusting cooking, yet amiable personality. In "French Fried," she quits her job after discovering the students like his cooking better, and when invited back, is horrified by how nice the kitchen looks when he cleans it up. At the end of the episode, she and Le Chef battle in a cooking contest, and while she technically has the worse food, she wins because of her nicer personality. In "Le Race," Le Chef encounters Miss Mush again, and Miss Mush quickly pulls ahead of him in the parkour match, though he ends up sabotaging her with chocolate mousse splattered against the wall. Miss Mush thinks little of Le Chef, bragging that it's easy to climb a building without a donkey on her back, and scoffing when he brags about his chances of winning. The feeling is mutual, as Le Chef believes Miss Mush's three-time thumb wrestling victories can not beat out his four-time parkour victories, and he also criticizes her non-French accent, Miss Mush and Mr. Kidswatter do not interact often, though their few interactions are hardly ever shown to be positive. In "Dr. Dana," when Myron suggests that Mr. Kidswatter try marrying Miss Mush, he immediately realizes he has nothing in common with her, and Miss Mush readily accepts the rejection, saying she doesn't want to marry Kidswatter either. In "Joe n' Fro," Miss Mush criticizes Mr. Kidswatter for attacking a gopher that isn't hurting him, and snarks at him when he doesn't seem to realize what a gazebo is. However, in "French Fried," she at least is willing to hand him her online business when she sees no more use for it, Whether it's sock soup or underwear roast, Miss Mush always means well and is a vital part of Wayside School.

Miss Mush (Wayside)

She is a girl with a round head with curly, dark magenta hair that parts in the middle and forms two puffy pigtails towards the side (in contrast to her brown hair from the books' description). She wears a purple artist's hat, a white and pink striped sweater, a purple skirt, white socks, and black shoes. She has dark skin, eyelashes, a fairly large nose (in contrast to the books, which described her as having a "little beebee nose"), and a mouth with visible lips. (The picture on this page is from "Cabbage, My Boy"), While both Bebe and Leslie are more minor characters in the series, they are seen interacting in a few instances, such as "Music Lessons," where Bebe compliments Leslie's skills on the bongos, and "My Partner Gets All the Credit," where the two seem glad to be paired together. It's likely that Bebe and Leslie are friends, utilizing this evidence, In earlier episodes of the show, her name is pronounced "bee-bee," matching its pronunciation in the books. However, starting with "Wayside Christmas," it's pronounced "bay-bay," differently to how it's pronounced in the books, Bebe's name is a pun on "BB gun," a type of air gun used to shoot small metallic pellets. She is additionally described as the "fastest draw in Mrs. Jewls's class," a term usually used to describe someone that can quickly pull a gun from its holster, though due to the wordplay common in the Wayside School series, here it refers to someone who can draw pictures quickly, Many people appreciate Bebe and her artistic ability, although some believe that it doesn't matter how fast she makes the art, but rather how good it looks. She is usually most creative around midnight, and her parents often let her stay up until then when she does well. However, it is known that she does write rude comments about Mrs. Jewls on her papers, which she blames her imaginary brother Ray Gunn for. In the cartoon, she is nonverbal for the most part, and communicates through her drawings. She can draw a cat in less than forty-five seconds, a dog in less than thirty seconds, and a flower in less than eight. It also takes her the same amount of time to draw an egg as a watermelon.

Bebe Gunn (Wayside)

George, Ursula, and Ape are evicted from the jungle by the evil builder Jerry Mander to make room for a housing development. Hopefully, the powerful spirit Tee Nee Tee will come to their rescue.
