Richard Simmons, a fitness icon and pop culture sensation, died in 2024 at the age of 76. Simmons was an energetic and eccentric personality who promoted health and fitness through exercise programs, particularly aerobics. His fitness empire, which began in the 1970s, included gyms, books, videos, infomercials, and his own TV show, The Richard Simmons Show. He also released the Sweatin' to the Oldies aerobics video series, selling more than 20 million copies.
