Tomásito "Tomás" Montes is Santiago’s cousin and first mate, and the deuteragonist of Santiago of the Seas. History Biography Tomás is Santiago's slightly anxious, super hilarious cousin with magical musical powers - and, not to mention, the best First Mate ever! With Santiago and his magical guitar's help, Tomás is navigating overcoming his fear of water, the dark, and well, everything else. Tomás is able to communicate his Power Chord, the guitar's rim lights up and create magic, like turning a breeze into a gust of wind, or accidentally turning Abuelo into a chicken. Background Information Personality Tomás is an energetic boy, who’s clumsiness can get him into trouble sometimes. This can be seen in episodes such as The Legend of Capitán Calavera, when Santiago has to save him from falling into the mud, and in The Magic Spyglass and in The Stone of Life, where Santiago saves him from falling into some booby traps. Even in the Theme Song, he nearly falls off of the ship, but Lorelai saves him. Before the events of The Legend of Capitán Calavera, similar to his cousin, Tomas dreamed of becoming a pirate. However, while Santiago wanted to become a pirate in order to help others, it seems that Tomás was more in it for the treasure. (Not meaning he's greedy!) He also has a space in upper front teeth. As a Civilian His general clothing consists of a white partially untucked t-shift with rolled up sleeves and a light yellow and green collar with a notable green ribbon-like tie on the front, brown and yellow-trimmed parts, a black belt with a silver buckle, green shorts and grey boots. He also wears a brown bag and a green bracelet on his left wrist and a silver bracelet on his right wrist. He also wears a brown watch on his right wrist. As a Pirate His pirate attire consists of a light yellow and green headband that is tied around his head, a white and light grey striped t-shirt with slightly torn sleeves, a sleeveless green and yellow-trimmed vest, a brown and silver-buckled belt, blue jeans and brown boots with skull-like clasps. He also carries around a guitar with a light yellow and green strap that is the exact same color as his headband. He also wears a second brown belt with a skull-like clasp on it. Quotes "Caracoles"!
