Description

Theodore Masters Peterson, better known as The Neighbor or Mr. Peterson, is the titular main antagonist of the Hello Neighbor franchise. Mr. Peterson, in the past, started off as an oddball but he had a passion for designing and coming up with ideas for theme parks. He was once a loving family man until his wife Diane was critically injured in a car accident and when she died in the hospital, Mr. Peterson went into depression and became less social with anyone. This went on until his son Aaron began bullying his sister Mya out of anger, mainly because he was also depressed. This caused Mr. Peterson to angrily snap and send his son to his room. After Mya was accidentally fell to her death, he began taking extreme measures to ensure the safety of Aaron, who now became his last surviving family member, and after locking his son up in his basement, this caused Mr. Peterson's personality to change, and he became mentally unstable and unhinged. He is also very protective of his basement, locking it up with a key and doing his best to hide the key from Nicky. Once Nicky goes too far into the basement, Mr. Peterson decides that Nicky knows too much and kidnaps him instead of kicking him out. It seems he is also not above torturing children, as Nicky seems battered and beaten at the beginning of Act 2, and even threateningly stares at Nicky before closing the gate. He was once a family loving man until he was devastated when his wife died from a car accident and his daughter was pushed to death by his son, Aaron (which was an accident). He was only locking his son Aaron up as punishment for the accidentally murder upon his daughter.
