Mechagodzilla is one of the two main antagonists (alongside Walter Simmons) of the 2021 science-fiction, kaiju film Godzilla vs. Kong, the fourth main installment in Legendary Pictures‘ MonsterVerse franchise. It was a mechanized doppelgänger of Godzilla created by Apex Cybernetics in order to wipe out every Titan in the world, so that humans would become the dominant species on Earth. However, the robot would later fall under the influence of Ghidorah and instead seek to destroy humanity so that Ghidorah could pick up where he left off and take the Earth for himself, turning Mechagodzilla into a genocidal, ruthless destroyer. It later appears in the comic crossover Justice League vs. Godzilla vs. Kong where it was rebuilt by Lex Luthor using schematics from Apex Cybernetics from Monarch while in the Monsterverse to tame the Titans to destroy the Justice League. However it would be defeated by Batman's Bat-Mech. It was portrayed by an uncredited actor in motion-capture.
