Description
Cute as a little button, adorable as a baby, curious as a puppy, fluffy as a stuffed animal, ticklish as a tickle me Elmo doll and soft as a pillow, Ronny "Spud" Dobbs (aka Ronald Henry Spud Dobbs, Ron Henry Spud Dobbs and Ronny Henry Dobbs), who is born August 10th, was a character in the Backyard Sports series. At the age of five, Ronny is the third-youngest kid in the league (behind Dante Robinson and Luanne Lui). He had a rounded head, skinny legs, and a small body. He wore a yellow short-sleeved t-shirt and pink shorts. His shorts changed to blue in 1998 and red in 2001. Ronny Dobbs does not like being little and hates to be bossed around by his older sister Sally. He wants to prove to everyone that he's a big kid. Ronny likes to be treated like a big kid and once you see him in action, you'll think he deserves it. Ronny's strong arm is a bit of a surprise for such a little fellow. He may not be a big kid, but he sure plays like one. This is one kid who really uses his head out there. Ronny's just a little guy, but he plays with a lot of heart. He hates being bossed around by his big sister Sally. Don't let Ronny's small size fool you... he can pack quite the wallop if he gets the right pitch. He's also not too shabby in the pitching department. One word of advice though - he prefers not to play on the same team as his sister, Sally. Only one thing is stopping Ronny from greatness: his big sister, Sally. If he overcomes his fear of her, he might be a decent player someday. Ronny is all about the 'D'. With his quick hands and nimble feet, this pint-sized ballhawk can put the clamps on anyone in the league. Anyone except his big sister Sally, that is.
